About me

Sometimes I am asked about how I can combine the skills of a scientist together with those of a business manager, while also being a relationship person. The answer is very simple: I am fascinated by science as long as it is beneficial to medical progress, where the contact to people always plays a fundamental role.

In particular, the following three aspects are very important to me:

Trust the power of innovation

Modern medicine as well as medical devices have reached a level of quality and performance that was unthinkable just a few decades ago. Minimally invasive surgery is an example of this impressive trend. While being careful about the quality of each innovative product, I am in principle against pessimistic attitudes that slow down the evolution of medicine. On the contrary, this trend has to be supported by creativity and courage in developing new ideas, methods, and products.

Curiosity

At the age of 24, I left Italy seeking new professional opportunities in Europe. The more experienced I was getting along the way, the more the desire to continuously expand my horizons grew: I have also worked in the Middle and Far East, not forgetting several trips to the USA. For me, it is always important to get to know other cultures and lifestyles, combining respect and admiration for the people I meet along the way along with a passion for the different languages I have been exposed to.

Devoted to the well-being of people

I must say that I have been very lucky to discover very early the ideal professional field I would later dedicate my whole life to: Biophysics and the medical business fascinate me until today. I am motivated to discover solutions to help patients towards the fastest recovery. I want to experience success stories that bring benefits to everybody; this is what really counts to me. Concerning the companies I worked for in the past, the results are self-explanatory in terms of measuring the success. I strongly believe that only teams and team players have far better chances to succeed in delivering far better customer satisfaction and fruitful long-term relationships than single isolated individuals.

Thank you for your kind attention.
